I'm originally from Bay City Michigan but, I have called Alabama my home since the Spring of 1997.
I met my husband while we were both serving in the US Navy. My husband is from St. Clair County. After we were both honorably discharged from active duty- I packed up my stuff & moved down here to Alabama to be with him.
I'm a mom of two talented and beautiful daughters. One is currently attending college and working for the Mouse, and the other has graduated with her bachelor's degree, gotten married, and is expecting her first child in 2025. I also have an adult stepson and his wife, plus we have a grandson &
two granddaughters!
I have taken pictures my entire life. I shoot with a little bit different point of view... I have been known to drop to the ground (dirt & mud don't bother me) without notice :) I'll wear jeans and t-shirts until I die.
I am a rabid volunteer! It is something that I've always felt called to do. I thank my Mom for instilling that in my sister & me when we were young.
I've worked with the City of Ashville & their community events for over a decade. Christmas on the Square, Sweets on the Square, Ashville Goes Pink, the Ashville Christmas Parade, & Ashville's 200th Bicentennial Celebration. If you are up at Kin Logan on Friday Nights in the Fall or at a volleyball/basketball game or in one of the dugouts in the spring for baseball or softball - you've seen me around. I am not from Ashville but, I bleed Green & White. I have been Blessed with the opportunity to work for Ashville Athletics & AHS for the past several years. This school, teachers, coaches, students, & community mean the world to me & I try to go above & beyond for them each year!
I have done a lot of work with the North-Central Alabama Affiliate of Susan G. Komen & the Girl Scouts of North-Central Alabama. It is so important to give your time, effort, & talent to others. No one walks through this life alone!
I love Pine Trees, Blue Hydrangeas, Overcast Breezy Spring Days, Hockey Games, Gulf Shores, WDW, & September Sunsets. Oh, & my favorite color is to no one's surprise- Green... Kelly, Ashville Green :)
